An Elemental Analyser and Gas Chromatography Isotope Ratio Mass Spectrometer was installed at CESAM facilities in the University of Aveiro. This equipment allows quantification of elemental and isotopic ratios (e.g., ¹³C/¹²C, ¹⁵N/¹⁴N) in bulk samples as well as in specific compounds (e.g., fatty acids, amino acids, sugars). The equipment was acquired through project KleptoSlug funded by the European Research Council (ERC) under the European Union’s Horizon 2020 research and innovation programme (grant agreement no. 949880).
