I have a Bachelor’s degree in Biology from the University of Seville (2018-2022), where I developed a solid foundation in biological sciences. During my studies, I also completed a diving course, which fostered my passion for marine biology and enriched my understanding of marine ecosystems. My interest in bioinformatics led me to pursue a Master’s degree in Omics Data Analysis and Systems Biology at the International University of Andalusia and the University of Seville (2022-2023). During this time, I acquired extensive skills in bioinformatics and various omics technologies, including genomics, epigenomics, transcriptomics, proteomics, and metabolomics. I am also experienced in integrating these diverse data types through multi-omics analysis, which allows for a comprehensive understanding of biological systems. After completing my Master’s degree, I joined the University of Aveiro as a Senior Technician (TAG) at the Center for Environmental and Marine Studies (CESAM). My main role involves bioinformatic analysis in a project focused on kleptoplastic sea slugs of the order Sacoglossa. Specifically, I was hired to analyze the transcriptomes of Elysia viridis and Codium tomentosum. My expertise in bioinformatics is not limited to transcriptome analysis; I have a comprehensive understanding of various omics fields, allowing me to contribute broadly to the KleptoSlug project’s needs. At CESAM, I am committed to advancing research on marine organisms and their unique biological processes. I strive to support the research team with my diverse bioinformatics skills, contributing to the understanding of complex biological phenomena like kleptoplasty and beyond.
